In this live podcast episode host Liam MacGabhann is joined by Community Development worker Triona Byrne, Psychologists, Dr Sharon Lambert and Dr Katriona O’Sullivan. The panel discuss Dublin’s North East Inner city as an area of high deprivation that has experienced individual and collective trauma over the years. We talk about the social determinants of health such as poverty and its impact on mental health and substance use and people’s access or lack thereof to social and recovery capital. Ending the discussion with an exploration into how Dublin’s north east inner city with its powerful sense of community can collectively response to the issue of Dual Diagnosis(Co-existing issues with mental health and substance use).
