Huge Congratulations to Lianne on graduating yesterday

Huge congratulations to Lianne yesterday who finally got to walk across the stage and become in her words ‘an official person’. Lianne graduated from Certificate in Peer Support Working in Mental Health and was in the class of 2019/2020 and graduation was delayed because of Covid.  Lianne did a split placement with the Dublin North, North East Recovery College and the HSE in Louth, her supervisors were Mark Cunningham(DKIT) and Rosemary Murphy (HSE).

Lianne started as a student with the Recovery College, became a facilitator and was student Chair for a time. Lianne continues to champion the recovery college and works for YAP Ireland.

Watch out world, Lianne is now ‘an official person’.

Trauma Informed Community Response to Dual Diagnosis (Mental Health and substance use difficulties): in Finglas & Cabra communities

This project has been funded by Department of Health through the Mental Health Ireland Community Mental Health fund. It is being led by Recovery Academy Ireland together in partnership with Dublin North, North East Recovery College and the Finglas Addiction Support Team (FAST).

The project is a direct response to the recommendations of the Dual Diagnosis Study completed in Finglas & Cabra in 2019 ‘Dual Diagnosis: A Community Perspective. Specifically, it is responding to the communities stated need to continue with the Open Dialogue Forum that brought stakeholders together in a collaborative way.

This will be the first of six open dialogue forums that we hope will bring together all the relevant stakeholders in a collaborative way, having looked at the communities perspective on Dual diagnosis. This is a communities response with regards to the aforementioned research report.
