Courses in Louth Spring 2018

Mindfulness & Compassion
Mindfulness is an innate capacity of the mind to be aware of the present moment in a non-judgmental way. Moreover, it can be developed through systematic training and promotes a way of being that helps us take better care of ourselves and others, and lead healthier lives.

Start Date: Thursday, February 1st , 2-4 pm
Format: Eight weekly afternoon sessions

 

Understanding and Renegotiating Trauma in our Lives
This two day workshop is for people to explore the meaning of normal trauma responses to adverse circumstances in life and the implications of unresolved and incomplete trauma responses on our lives.

Both Mindfulness and Compassion and Understanding and Renegotiating Trauma in our Lives will be held in Dundalk Institute of Technology, Department of Nursing, Midwifery & Health Studies

Courses in Meath Spring 2018

Get Yourself Connected Through Drama

Get to know your own strengths and overcome internal barriers through the creative and fun processes. Explore social interactions, preferences and inhibitions, build social confidence and develop new methods of expression.

Course starts: Early February, Dates to be confirmed
Format: Eight weekly afternoon sessions
Venue: Louth Meath Education and Training Board, Abbey Road, Navan

Courses in Dublin North Spring 2018

In North Dublin Spring 2018 we will be running

Creative Facilitation Skills Training This program builds participants capacity to take roles on upcoming recovery college facilitation teams. Learners will explore the skills, roles, methods, challenges and planning approaches involved with creative group facilitation.

Start: Monday, January 29th
Format: Two day workshop

Thoughts, Feelings Actions Develop personal knowledge around how thoughts, feelings & actions interact & can work to inform our well being. This course will explore the benefits of bringing more ‘Empathy,’ ‘Compassion,’ & ‘Understanding‘ into our lives.

Start:  Tuesday, February 13th
Format: Weekly afternoon sessions

Crafts for Wellness Enjoy crafts for relaxation in an open space where we explore mental health & well being through different creative mediums in a safe environment

Start: Mid February, dates to be confirmed
Format: Weekly afternoon sessions
